Unanswered: Syslocks shows lock, but no corresponding process exists

A truncate on a table fails because of an apparent exclusive lock on that table. master..syslocks shows a record of a lock on that particular table, but the pid mentioned does not exist. Manually deleting the records isn't possible as far as aI can see.

Is there any way of getting rid of this rogue lock without rebooting the server?

It's a Win2k3 server with ASE12.5.0.3 EBF11449. I did some extensive googleing, and the only solution seemed to be a reboot. The server was rebooted yesterday, after which the lock was gone.
