    Question Unanswered: \d not working

    hi all,
I have a newly installed postgresql 8.2 in my PC with ubuntu OS.I installed it from the aptitude. But if I give psql postgres and give \d it's saying no relations found.
I also done a restored a database from the dump file using pg_dump and tried \d.Then also it's showing no relations found.Dump hasn't given any error .
Wht's the cause for this?Is it due to any fault in my installation?
    Plz help.
    Thanks in advance.

One possible explanation for this: your objects are located in a different schema of the database (not "public"); you can change your default search path with "set search_path to ..."

Check out this manual page: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.3/i...l-schemas.html

You can list schemas of a database with "\dn"

Verify the enconding of database, any case happen, choose UTF8 for enconding.
