i now want to store those selections
Why? You have them selected in the form, why not just leave it there?

create a report to print out score cards?
So, create a report for your score cards!

i am not sure if i should use a seperate table for each team
    Definitely NOT.

is their a more efficient way to obtain the result i am after
    There has to be.

Can't get any more specific than that without knowing your table structure.

    create a report

tks ST,i have endeavoured to create a score card report but have run into trouble(my learning is still on the curve?)
the selected players are listed in a table,i then go to a form which is set up as follows rink 1 rink 2
    skip skip skip skip
    third third third third
    second second second second
    lead lead lead lead

i have no trouble inserting the names into unbound boxes, but when designing the report the skip in rink 1 is duplicated in rink 2 and so on, i have tried making a bound text box giving each position a number this works but it means i would have to number all 50 odd players,i dont think this is the right way to do it,can you help please ,each player does have an individual tag No perhaps i should be using this?rgds dennis
