Unanswered: A Summary query in Access
I would like to create a query that will tell me how many males and how many females there are in each table with a summary query.
The tables are:
tbl_course (1) -------------- (Many) tbl_student
So id like to find out how many males and how many females there are in each course. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this (it seems like it should be so easy).
Thanks alot for your time
First off, I assume you're storing this data somewhere (a Yes/No field)? That would be helpful info.
Secondly, this wouldn't happen to be a homework problem would it?
Post with what you've got so far, we'll help you as best we can from there.
Me.Geek = True
I'm storing whether or not someone is a male or female in the tbl_student under "sex".
This is what I've done so far (see attached images).
But it seems as though it's not adding up correctly, any help would be appriciated.
Aside (This is a form of homework, I'm hoping to use this in a works database - hope it's ok to post here)
Why do you think it's wrong?
