    Unanswered: schema replication

    Hi All,
Please provide me the steps how to configure schema replication in oracle 11g.

There are two schema rep1 and rep2 on same server (SID is BI). If any changes are made in rep1 schema, need to reflect in rep2 schema automatically.

    Thanks

    Thumbs down Lazy DBA?

Maybe you are just too lazy to read the fine Oracle® Streams Concepts and Administration manual, or you want us to do the work for you?.

Streams is (dumb) software that does not know or care the source database is the same as the target database
& will work the same whether 1 or 2 physical databases are involved.

    Thumbs down replication

    Hi

You can use the replication method on the same server in two different schemas. First create materialized view logs in rep1 and create the materialized views with refresh interval in rep2. Then create a procedure to run a job on these mviews in rep2. dont forget to create the dblink to connect to these two schemas which you need to use in creation of the mviews.

I think it will solve the problem. Let me know if you have any questions.
