    Unanswered: How to know if backup image is off-line or on-line with logs

    Hi,
    on DB2 V9.5 fp2 on Linux I have created two backups. First was off-line backup and the second is on-line backup with logs included.

    Looking into file names there is no different:
    -rw------- 1 db2inst1 db2iadm1 72404992 2008-12-09 08:56 MYDB.0.db2inst1.NODE0000.CATN0000.20081209085628.0 01
    -rw------- 1 db2inst1 db2iadm1 69808128 2008-12-09 08:58 MYDB.0.db2inst1.NODE0000.CATN0000.20081209085822.0 01

    How can I now determinate which backup is off-line image and which one is on-line with logs included? I know there is some kind of command to look into backup image, but can't find out which command is it.

    Regards,
    Grofaty

    db2ckbkp command returns you the metadata stored for every backup image.

    you can also retrieve information from the history file, eg. list history backup since 20081209 for mydb

    @JAYANTA_DATTA, thanks a lot.

    The syntax on Linux/Unix is:
    Code:
    db2ckbkp -H ime_db2_backup_datoteke | grep "Includes Logs"
    Regards
