    Unanswered: Format ascii output ?

    Hi everyone,

I´m using this to get my database values into an text file.

output to output.txt format ascii delimited by ','

After that I import the output.txt to excel but the tricky part is that all string values has an 'string' (quotes) around it in the excel column.

How can i format this to get around it ?

    exampel:
    col1 col2 col3
    23 'test' 23.00

    Regards
    Magnus

Your example data is not comma delimited
use a format file to specify ,' or ', as delimiter

I've never used this but looking at the help page I'd try using :

    Code:
    output to output.txt format excel
