    Unanswered: Backing up master database

Is there any reason why the master database should be backed up more then once a week? What is the recommended backup procedure for master?

    Thanks.

like everything else, it depends. how often do you add/ remove users and databases etc...
“If one brings so much courage to this world the world has to kill them or break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.” Earnest Hemingway, A Farewell To Arms.

I back them up everyday with all user databases, size is trivial, but loss of master is not.

master db is the heart of ur DB server , if any problem master backup is required first of all , better to take backup of all system dbs as size will be not big and its healthy practise
