    Marketplace Rules

at present, there is only one rule with regard to placing your ad in the marketplace: there must be some connection to using databases

if you place an ad for something unrelated to databases, you may expect the ad to be removed

    Question

    Hi R937,

there must be some connection to using databases means there shall be connection only in the case of a database itself.

Additionally, I thought a book about databases is indeed something related to databses, right ?

But I see only advertising for databases themselves...

    So my question:
Is it possible to make an advertising about an excellent book about databases (Temporal data and the relational model, by Date and al.) ?

Thank you in advance for your answer.

normally i no longer participate in the dbforums discussions, but since somehow my post count slipped down to 19,999, i will answer this question just so that i can see that nice round number again

the answer is sure, go ahead and place your advertisement

what's the worst that can happen? the current set of forum moderators may decide to remove it

or, they could leave it in place, eh

I need to automate things to delete r937's earliest post and schedule that to run every hour. Then he'd have to post 24 (or more) entries per day to stay at 20,000!

That or I could tell him that he doesn't have the gumption to make it to 30,000!

true, but then again his signal to noise ratio may be an awful lot higher than some
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
