Question Unanswered: (Missing tablespace in DB2) I need help URGENTLY

    Hi,

How do we go about this? Should we drop the tablespaces and recreate them? There are numerous entries in the diagnostic log that says error in accessing these tablespaces.

    Tablespace name = MYTEMP
    Tablespace ID = 15
Tablespace Type = System managed space
Tablespace Content Type = System Temporary data
Tablespace Page size (bytes) = 4096
Tablespace Extent size (pages) = 32
Tablespace Prefetch size (pages) = 32
Buffer pool ID currently in use = 1
Buffer pool ID next startup = 1
    Tablespace State = 0x'00004000'
    Detailed explanation:
    Offline
Total number of pages = 0
Number of usable pages = 0
Number of used pages = 0
    Minimum Recovery Time = 12-05-2008 19:58:55.000000
    Number of quiescers = 0
    Number of containers = 1

    Container Name = /db2temp/mytempc3
    Container ID = 0
    Container Type = Path
Total Pages in Container = 0
Usable Pages in Container = 0
    Stripe Set = 0
    Container is accessible = No

    Tablespace name = MYTEMP2
    Tablespace ID = 16

Here's what in the /db2temp. Both folder for /db2temp/mytempc3 and /db2temp/mytempc2 are missing.

    PRODDB[/home/sda007] ls -l /db2temp
    total 8

could you display part of db2diag and the error
what is the problem you have ??
you can always drop a ts if the data has been saved and can be restored/loaded after create ts..

Good DBAs are not formed in a week or a month. They are created little by little, day by day. Protracted and patient effort is needed to develop good DBAs.
