    Unanswered: Crystal Reports 11 Running Totals Problem

    I am trying to total 3 different Running totals. Is this possible?

    Here is an example of what I am trying to do. Let's say that there is a grouping on a job no 100 where I am totaling parts for that job. I have a running total on Part X, Part Y, Part Z. Is there a way to add up all of these parts? My problem is when one part isn't used for that job. It doesn't give me a total then.

    I think if you create a formula which equals the running total at the group stage (and which puts the value zero in if there is no running total), and then put another formula in that group which adds them all up, then you should be OK.

    Another way is to put a formula at the detail level which allows for a part that is not used, such as:
    @RT_PartX = if {part} = "Part X" then {quantity} else 0
    Now a simple sum of the formula @RT_PartX will give a result every time.
