Unanswered: Query SQL Server table and Oracal table

    Hi,

I am try to preform a query using two tables, one table is a SQL Server table and the other table is an Oracle table. I had this working but I can not longer use the OPENROWSET keyword for security reasons.

Is there another avenue that I can use to get this information from this tables?

    Thanks,
    Ryan

You never mention from which database your query was originated.

Since you mentioned OPENROWSET, I assume your query is originated from MSSQL. How about using the dot notation ? .. you know, select .. from ORACLE_SCHEMA..TABLE_NAME ? You can also try using OPENQUERY.
