Unanswered: HIERARCHYID data type in SQL 2008

    The article HierarchyID

says that "As long as the hierarchy doesn’t contain a large number of levels, the HIERARCHYID values are quite economical"

what are the issues when HIERARCHYID data type is used to represent hierarchy with a large number of levels ?
    Cheers....

The more levels you add to the tree, the more storage space the heirarchyid will need.
