    Unanswered: timeout expired

When I execute a large query from within Enterprise Manager I get a timeout expired error, but if i run the same query from within the SQL Query Analyzer it works, although it takes approx 45 seconds to complete. I ran a trace when running the query within Enterprise Manager and the attachment displays the results. Any ideas?

    Thanks

I guess the reason is because EM has a timeout and QA doesn't!

What would be more useful than the trace would be the query itself, along with the definitions of all the tables (and indexes) involved and a description of what the query is supposed to do so that we can help you re-write it more efficiently.

please check by running "sp_configure" query at SQL level and check timeout settings in place
