    Post Unanswered: Transact SQL Question error

    When i run this query ,
    SELECT
    NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN ({[Tables1].[productname], [Tables2].[quantityperunit]}, {[Table1].[1997]}) ON COLUMNS,
    NON EMPTY {[Mydatatable].[name ].Members} ON ROWS
    FROM Tables1,Tables2,Mydatatables
    WHERE [Measures].[Unit Sales]

    The following error is occurs

    [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Syntax error or access violation

    how can i solve this error and how can i run that on columns and rows format

    That isn't valid Microsoft SQL Server Syntax...

    It looks like a valid MDX query. I suspect that kongaung intended to run it against SSAS (Analysis Services) instead of SQL Server.
