Unanswered: Can this be done in Access

I have an Excel spreadsheet that I have to update on a regular basis.

Every week I download some data in a .xls format from a database, this file contains new data that is not on my excel file.

I can identify new records by doing a vlook up in excel, however there are some changes to data within some fields that i have to mannually look and compare for differences.

I want to know if there is a way i can paste the excel file into 2 tables in ACCESS and run kind of script that would update any new information and add new records at the same time.

    Can this be done?

    Thanking you for your help.

You can import from or link to an Excel spreadsheet with Access, so I would say that it should be possible.

It would depend heavily on how the spreadsheet is constructed though.
