    Unanswered: 100501: non-ORACLE exception -100501

    haii
    iam using forms 6i for development,ane backend oracle10g,
    while i try to validate one field checking in forms ,the condition checking is if null then go to that field and raise form_trigger_failure.
    becasuse of raise form_trigger_failure , i think i got this message. any idea to handle it,
    I give exception
    when others then null.
    then this problem is solved but its not validating the field that i required.

    anybody give me a solution..plssss

    It appears that the SQLERRM function has been called with an invalid error number:
    Code:
    SQL> exec dbms_output.put_line(sqlerrm(-100501));
     100501: non-ORACLE exception

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    rather than with a valid one:
    Code:
    SQL> exec dbms_output.put_line(sqlerrm(-904))
    ORA-00904: : invalid identifier

    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
