    Unanswered: database design

    hi , im currently doing a project and part of it is to implement a simple database web application .I do need a simple database design to base it on .Has anyone got any ideas or documentation for the design of a very simple web database application .

    Hello! Not sure what you need but here's an example of a basic site...

    myform.php - has web form with fields (submits to thanks.php)
    thanks.php - has PHP script to connect and write data to database

    database (e.g MySQL)
    signups_id (int, auto-increment, primary key)
    first_name (varchar 48)
    last_name (varchar 48)
    email_address (varchar 64)
    creation_datetime (datetime)

    I think you'll find that you need to tailor your DB design to the application you are writing. There is no "1-fits-all" solutions to database design

    To me for the database designing oracle is the best one..
