    Unanswered: Table Backup

    Hi,

    I would like to take backup of few tables of the database.

    Can anyone please help me out how I can perform the same?

    You can backup databases, but not (natively) tables. Depends what you want to do with them. If you want a rough and ready snapshot (say you want to develop on the table, and every so often refresh the data) then
    Code:
    SELECT * INTO myBackupTable FROM mySourceTable
    . Or you can use BCP to output the contents of the table onto the filesystem, but you will need to also script out the schema, indexes, constraints etc for a full "backup".

    U can use export/Import data wizard to backup table to excel or flat file format or to another table etc or just run the query select * from <tablename> and save it to file

    If its production environment , do not perform select * into which will be a duplicaiton of data
