    Unanswered: DB2 VSE and clob

    DB2 UDB V9.5 FP1 on linux390 - utf-8 db
client is db2 vse 7.5 connecting to this udb db
we have a table with a clob field (20000 length) and are trying to insert 9998
    characters and getting sqlcode 302
could be accepted : utf and cyrillic characters
we increased the clob to 100000 ans still getting the same error
tried with non-cyrillic characters and this is ok. as soon as we have a cyrillic character we get sql0302
we use cobol from vse and character variable(9998) to insert to the clob
has somebode already seen this problem ? any idea ?
    Thanks for all info/help

    Hi,
we are using DB2 v9.5 FP2 on Linux390 but are using ISO8859-2 code set. We are also accessing Linux database from Cobol from DB2/VSE client, but we have no problem.

Don't know if this problem is related to UTF-8, try contacting IBM to see if there is also some bug. Try applying latest fixpack.
    Regards

Linux & VSE on one mainframe both with DB2.... You must work in the most challanging environment. All our configurations are boring compared to you.
