    Unanswered: compared functions

    with regards to the php scripting language i was jus wondering if anyone new of any web pages that compares functions done in a particular language compared to the php language - even if it is very simple , showing the scripting code .Thanks

    no I don't know of anythign close to waht you are asking

    all I can think of is and w3schools
    I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton

    I think you'll find that a lot of the constructs are the same, if, while, for, foreach, etc... but functions are rather different, as PHP provides a lot of functions as part of it's language, whereas something like C# will provide classes that faciliate the same functionality but split into component parts.
    in PHP, array_merge($arr1, $arr2)
    is equivalient to something like
    in C#, Array c1 = new Array(); Array c2 = new Array(); c1.merge(c2); (i'm guessing)

    They're quite different and rules may also differ, i.e. array_merge in PHP might put the order of arguments, 1st overwriting 2nd, and Array.merge() might trigger an error, who knows. It's just a case of learning one from the other.
