Hello,
Had anyone observed this type of behavior with while using a perl script.
Brief background of problem:
Using perl, v5.8.4 built for executing a perl script and receive below mentioned error –
--------------------------------------------------------------------------Couldn't read chunk at offset unknown at logAnalyser.pl line 1397
nager filenet-re 32774/tcp # FileNET Rules Engine filenet-re 327 74/udp # FileNET Rules Engine #: checksum error at logAnalyser.pl line 1397
Couldn't read chunk at offset unknown at logAnalyser.pl line 1397

Couldn't read chunk at offset unknown at logAnalyser.pl line 1397
Couldn't read chunk at offset unknown at logAnalyser.pl line 1397
Couldn't read chunk at offset unknown at logAnalyser.pl line 1397
--------------------------------------------------------------------------So it complaints about line 1397 in my script. In this script line 1397 I am using -- Archive::Tar->new($tarfile);

In short it complains about reading the chunk in the supplied tar file.
This error is reported only for the tar file created on AIX system and for tar file created on Solaris system this code runs without any issue.
Is there something to do with the used perl version?

Thanks in advance for the help….

BR,
Ashish
