    Sort grayed out?

    Hi,

One of my coworkers just had Access 2007 installed on his computer. Everything works normally except for when he goes into a table in datasheet view and tries to sort a column. The A-Z and the little 'column shortcut' menu are disabled.

When I go into the same table on my computer (also Access 2007), I can sort!

    Any ideas?

    TIA,
    Joanne

When an app works on one PC but not another, especially with a new installation of Access, you have to think about missing references on the errant machine.

Can the other users add/edit records? I'm not positive, but the other user not having the appropriate permissions might be coming into play.
    Hope this helps!

Could the cursor just be in an unsortable field? A memo for instance?
