    Unanswered: unable to start agent,dbconcole

    Hi All,

    I am unable to start agent or dbconsole. i use windows XP and oracle 10G.

    while i issued emctl start agent command it told "Environment variable ORACLE_SID not defined. please define it."

    however i issued set oracle_sid = orcl

    and then i tried to start agent. but still the same error is shown. please help.

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply. now its telling another error after i set ORACLE_SID properly and tried to start agent. The error is below

    "EM Configuration issue. c:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_4/hari.corp.net_orclhari not found"

    i already checked ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_BASE and they are set properly.

    pls help

    Hi

    i found one problem. oracle_hostname was not set. i set it properly now and agent is started. HOWEVER, i am still UNABLE to start dbconsole. below is the error

    I think you need to recreate the EM repository and reconfigure the EM. You can find all information in the following location:
