Question Unanswered: how to avoid special character and blank space

i have a text field that prompts user to enter the name but that text field should only accept character and only one blank space. For example
    Asad Khan (Correct)
Asad khan (Incorrect) cuz it took more then one blank space
As@d Kha& (Incorrect) it is also incorrect cuz it took special character.

    Thanks

Well, you could - in the WHEN-VALIDATE-ITEM trigger - loop through the whole text and check ASCII value of the fetched character, compare it to valid values (ASCII(space character) = 32, ASCII('A') = 65, etc.) and raise an error if character doesn't fit into the range you take as "valid".
