    Unanswered: ODBC problem with oracle

    Hello guys,

I habe DB Oracle 8.1.8. If I try to execute some SQL-Statement with ODBC Driver 8.0.5, I get an error: ORA-00932: nicht übereinstimmende Datentypen

Did you habe errors like this?

    Thank you!

    ORA-00932 is inconsistent datatypes.

It sounds like you've got some sore of ODBC data type translation problem.
My wild stab in the dark would be that the ODBC driver is mapping something to a LONG that you're expecting to be a varchar2

    ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes
You tried to perform an operation between two different datatypes, but the datatypes are not compatible
Correct the operation so that the datatypes are compatible. You may want to use a conversion function such as: to_date, to_number, or to_char.

It's obviously not completely correct, or you wouldn't be getting this error.
Give us some more details about what you're doing.
