    Unanswered: Help: how to lock cells after fulfilling a condition data

    To all Excel Gurus,

    I need help on how to lock cells after a certain data entry is fulfilled. To illustrate: I have data in A1, B1, C1, D1, E1, F1 etc... In C1 I have a validation list "Yes, No"... If a user chooses "Yes" in the validation drop-down, I want to lock Cells, A1, B1, C1 (so users cannot change data entry) but not D1, E1, F1.

    My workbook and my sheet is protected.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you all in advance.

    hope following code will make some sense for you
    Sheets(1).Cells.Locked = True
    Sheets(1).Protect Password:="Secret", Contents:=True
