    Currently I am having a system with Oracle 10G and DB2 V9.1 FP5 installed on AIX 5.3.
As I am new to this database management stuff, I would like to know a few things that a DBA should regularly follow as part of routine database management.
What are the guidelines that a DBA follow while maintaining Oracle 10G on AIX 5.3. I am using the EM dbconsole in Oracle 10G to log in to the database
as user sys/system with sysdba privilege.
If you tell me the proper rules then it will be a great help for me to manage the disk space,CPU usage and adjust Oracle parameters to optimize the server's resources.
    Thanks in advance.....

Best place for this is the Oracle forum, rather than introductions. I would repost there.
