Unanswered: Does Oracle HSODBC support networking?

I'm really sorry for maybe dumb questions..
The task is connect from Oracle to MySQL 5.0.45 via network using Oracle Generic Connectivity (Heterogenous services) and perform some inserts.
    Is it possible?
    Both on Windows.
Which Oracle versions I can use if possible?

    Thanks,
    hope for not ignoring

A free solution would be to use PERL's DBI/DBD interface.
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
