    Unanswered: Case Sensitivity

    Hi,
    1. Is DB2 case sensitive or insensitive by default?
    2. Obviously, I can check this my running a few simple queries, but I was just wondering is there a Session property that I can check?
    Thanks.

The data is case sensitive. The DLL object names are converted to Upper Case unless you put quotes around the object name in lower case, in which case (no pun intended) you will probably be lynched by a mob of angry DBA's or developers.

SQL is case sensitive for string values and comparing them. DB2 follows the SQL standard in this respect. Identifiers for schema, table, or columns names (aka object names) are not string values, though.
