    Unanswered: V8 Replication problem

    Hi Everyone,

We have DB2 v8.x in AIX. We are facing the replication (between Transaction db & data mart)problem. As we know that, source and target table ddls are not matching. In target table ddl is having more # of columns ie, extra columns, to meet the business requirement. Can some one suggest, whether replication will work if source and target table ddls differ? Is it possible to make any changes in the apply program? so that automatically replication occur.

    Pls guide us.

    With Regards

In most replication scenarios, the source and target tables do not have to match exactly, but obviously you cannot add a new column with not null on the target unless it has a default value defined, etc. I am not sure what you mean by "so that automatically replication occur."
