    Unanswered: how to determine if a table is hidden?

    Hi... How would I code VBA to determine if a table is hidden or not? Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

    Have a look at the TableDefs Collection. I can't remember for certain, but I think one of the properties can get you the information you're after (that link has code in it to debug.print all the properties).

    Thanks Nick for the advice.

    Just thought I would share this with you and whomever else that's interested.

    Here's the code to achieve what I wanted - a list of all the tables in my database listed in a combo box.

    This select statement is placed in the row source of the combo box and the row source type is defined as Table/Query.

    SELECT IIf([type]=1 Or [type]=6,"Table","Query") AS objectType, MsysObjects.Name
    FROM MsysObjects
    WHERE (((Left$([Name],1))<>"~") AND ((Left$([Name],4))<>"Msys") AND ((MsysObjects.Type)=1) AND ((MsysObjects.Flags)=2097152 Or (MsysObjects.Flags)=128 Or (MsysObjects.Flags)=0 Or (MsysObjects.Flags)=16));
