Unanswered: using access 2007 for access 2000

    Hi,

Ive been working on a small database for work in access 2000, however i have access 2007 at home. Is it safe to build it in 2007 and use in 2000?

    Regards

No, personally I would not do that. Access 2000 with Access 2003 is ok but there is a very big gap between Access 2000 and Access 2007.

Yes, it will work, but I wouldn't do it either.

It is definitely less problematic if you develop in the same version as you intend to deploy on.

It comes down to how simple the database is imo.

Whatever you do, make sure you keep adequate backups!!
