Unanswered: Error when cataloging dcs database for AS/400

    Hi All,
I am getting the following error when trying to catalog OS400 system.

    1. db2 catalog tcpip node <node name> remote <hostname> server 446

DB20000I The CATALOG TCPIP NODE command completed successfully.

    2. $ db2 catalog dcs database <dbname> as <dbname>
SQL1318N The length of element "PCSETLTESPCSETLTEST" in the input structure
for parameter 1 is not valid.

Anyone please help me how to get rid of this error.

    Thanks.

would be great if you post the actual db2 command......

I guess your command is something like
db2 catalog dcs database PCSETLTESPCSETLTEST as <dbname>
and i presume dbname cannot be so long....

    Hi,

    The error does inform:
The length values in the Database Connection Services directory entry structure should not be less than zero nor greater than the maximum length for the element it represents.

    Do try with

db2 catalog dcs database PCSETLTEST as PCSET

    and not the full name.
    Do let us know.
