    Unanswered: Using WMP activex

    Hi

    I am trying to get am Access 2007 db to play mp3 file through a form using the WMP activex control.

    If i put the control on the form and use the path to the file in the url parameter it works fine, what i need to do is have the path that is stored in the form data called File to set the file played by the player

    First guess:

    In your OnCurrent for the form, try a command like this:

    Me.OleObject.URL = Me.[File]

    Something along those lines should work.

    i have found the problem, the field is set to a hyperlink causing the # to appear at the beginning and end of the text.

    I have turned this field into a memo and am now looking for an easy way to remove the # marks at the beginning and end of the text.

    Also the file is playing automatically, does anyone know how to stop it doing this until you click the play button.

    How many do you need to change? Just remove the #'s manually?

    No, I don't know how to stop the file from playing :/ I've not played with MP3s like that before.
