Unanswered: Need Help on Postgres Remote Accessing

Hello, I have installed postgres 8.2 in my local system. I need to access my local database remotely from other system.

I have added the following line to pg_hba.conf file which is under postgres/8.2/data/ directory.

    host all all my_system_ip_address/32 trust

and also i have modified the in pgadmin III by changing the "localhost" to "my_system_ip_address". pgadmin III accepts my modification.

But after this i am not getting an idea that how can i access the database remotely.

Can you please help me on this issue.

have you stopped and restarted postgresql? This is required to reload pg_hba.
