    Post Unanswered: Is oracle more secure than Sql

    Hi..
    I am Prabhakar Chaturevdi.. Please tell me .. for Software development many companies are using Oracle.. even that we have Sql Server @ very low prise and we can make our database to secure by using some algorithms.

    How do you measure security? In the last few years Oracle has had more known security vulnerabilities than SQL Server. Oracle's security and patch regime has come in for some criticism but both products have proved secure for many people if used properly. On the other hand, SQL Server runs only on Windows and it is arguable that Windows is SQL Server's biggest security problem.

    Sir, u know that engine of oracle is too big.. So my question is can we make our database stronger as oracle

    Yes, SQL Server is a secure database platform, properly configured of course.
    If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.
