Question Unanswered: IBM Universe - count multi value entries

    Hi
Our Manufacturing system is based on an IBM Universe DB, I use smart query to extract data which I then use in MS Access to provide users with reports and queries.
I have an issue with a multi-value (currently 10 values) field, I have created a new field in the file combining the product code with the multi-value element which gives me something I can use in access but I need to add to this new field a count 1-10 so that I can identify the first to the 10th values which can then be used for sorting etc
I currently manipulate the output in Excel to add a field which counts the records per product code, but would dearly like to eliminate this step.
Anyone know how to achieve this?
    Regards
    Martin

I'd just use the row identifier in the MS-Access query, or add an element counter to the Universe PROC query.

In theory, theory and practice are identical. In practice, theory and practice are unrelated.

    Thanks Pat
My derived Field is PRODCODE : ":" : SELLPRICE
I have tried adding @CNT but that doesn't work.
How do I add an "Element Counter"
    Regards
