Unanswered: Set-up a Control for Hyperlinks in a Table

    Hi all,
Say I have a table with three fields, Index, Link and Desc. Field Desc would hold a value like Yahoo and field Link would hold a value such as Yahoo!.

I want to configure a control to display the Desc field on a form (using a Text Box I assume?) by Index and when a user clicks the control it should hyperlink them to the URL stored in the Link field for that Index.

Any idea on how to set up the text box to do this? Thank you!

Personally I don't use the hyperlink data type. I just use text. What I would do is have a combo box that displayed the desc field but also included the link field (it could be hidden). Then your code would be:

    Application.FollowHyperlink Me.ComboName.Column(1)

presuming the link was in the second column.

Thanks for the reply pbaldy. Where would that code go? I built the combo box (using the wizard) with the Desc listed in the dropdown but of course I can't select anything in the combo.

    Appreciate it!

Code could be behind a button, or perhaps in the after update event of the combo. Depends on when you want it to happen. If you can't select anything, make sure the form allows edits, the control isn't locked, etc.
