it and if i link two fields they are referenced like in the following picture:
    http://i641.photobucket.com/albums/u...klemon/ac2.jpg
but if i link another field to the same field then they are no longer referenced like so:
    http://i641.photobucket.com/albums/u...klemon/ac3.jpg

does anyone know how i can link the fields and get the reference

You have a problem with your design - it does not meet First Normal Form. What's that? The first of a set of design principles that guide you to designing well structured relational databases.

So how can i structure it better because i want to keep the sporting activity 1, sporting activity 2 on the one page so when they are viewed as records you can see all?

You need to remember that how it "looks on the page" is a presentation issue. When designing a relational database you concern yourself with the correct storage structures - these have nothing to do with how it looks on the page. You use other principles to change that.

Read the link. Come back and tell me you think you should structure this now.
