I have a table in SQL that I export to a flat file which is then to be imported into Oracle. One field, which is ntext, contains CR/LF. SQL dosen't seem to care and the front end (Access) tolerates it quite well. However, when I send it to a flat file, Oracle interprets the CR/LF in the field as a new record. I know nothing about Oracle so I cannot help that DBA beyond supplying the data. I've tried both ANSI and unicode, the columns are pipe-delimited, double-quotes as the text qualifier yet Oracle appears to balk with all attempts. Linked server is out of the question as they would need to upgrade Oracle for me to accomplish this. Any thoughts on how to get around something like this?
