    Unanswered: Question on data type on MS SQL Server 8.0

    1. I noticed that there is a data type called timestamp, can i know wat exactly it is?

    2. 2ndly wat if i want to enter a data which is either yes or no, like boolean which is the most suitable datatype?

    pls advise. thanks a lot.

    Lookup the TimeStamp datatype in Books Online.

    Use the bit datatype for boolean data, or, if you need to perform aggregate functions on the data, use a smallint constrained to 0 or 1.
    If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.
