Unanswered: Diff. pagesizes for data & index?

I've been playing on my testmachines and I found (to my surprise) that db2 (v9.5 on w3k) allows to create a table in a tablespace (8K size) with the index in another tablespace using a 4K pagesize!

    I wonder:
    - would that be usefull
    - is there anybody out there using diff. pagesizes for data/index/long tablespaces?

    Just curious.

That has always been the case if the tablespace for the indexes is specified for in the Create Table statement (DMS only).

I use different page sizes for table and indexes frequently, but not always.

Yeah, and when the data and index part of a table reside in the same pagesize, they do not have to share the same tablespace/bufferpool right?
Configuring a "prefetch enabeled" tablespace can be usefull for data, but not very much for indexes, especially the primary key!
