Unanswered: Newbie - Log Shipping Issues

    Hi,

I'm able to fix the issue fairly promptly however the cause is proving a bit of a mystery.

One of the copy jobs on the secondary for a log shipping pair is failing 80% of the time with the message: "Executed as user: OLYMPUS\serviceadmin. sqlmaint.exe failed. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 22029). The step failed."

The job in question is running:
    Code:
     EXECUTE master.dbo.xp_sqlmaint '-LSCopyPlanID "ED5BE3AC-876C-423D-85C6-D56841EB50BA"'
I am still waiting access to the primary so I can investigate the maintenance plan history which I guess will be able to provide further information but is there anything I can check in the meantime?

One thing that strikes me as odd is although the copy job is failing most of the time the retore job appears to be unaffected. As I don't have access to the primary yet I'm unable to check on the status of the restore in SQL manager but the Windows Event Viewer appears to show no errors on that job.

Apologies if I'm being vague but I'm new to this.

    Thanks

    Chris

    More Info

I am able to use both enterprise manager or SQL 2005 to connect to the server.
