    Unanswered: Query by Form Help

I'd like to set up a query using the query by form technique. I'd like to be able to have the user place the query criteria in the unbound textbox, and then (if I could) instead of opening it in a datasheet view, have the results appear as filled or open check boxes on the original form (depending on whether the field is equal to my terms). Is this at all possible? The example below may help...

    Before query:
    Record Finished On Hold
    [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]

    After Query:
    Record Finished On Hold
    [ 532 ] [X] [X] [X] [X] [ ]

It's possible but rather complex. You have to parse the values that the user entered in the text boxes, associate each value with a field in the table or query containing the data using the proper comparison operators ( =, <, >, Like etc...) then link the obtained partial criteria together with the proper operators (AND, OR) and build a SQL phase (full with a SELECT or partial with only the WHERE part) or use DLookUp functions to retrieve the data.

    Have a nice day!
