I am facing the problem while starting my application in the oracle10g database
Out of memory. Shutting down.
java.sql.SQLException: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12518, TNS:listener could not hand off client connection
The Connection descriptor used by the client was:
What OS are you on ?? If 32 bit Windows, what is the memory footprint of oracle.exe ... Windows has a limitation of approx: 1.7 gig. You may find that the footprint is "bumping" the limit which will cause the listener to refuse connections ...
Even though the SGA is sized below the limit, as each user attaches, it increases the memory usage of the oracle.exe footprint.
