Unanswered: execute permission denied on object 'sp_send_dbmail', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo'

Trying to resolve this permissions issue.
It is directly related to database mail.
    The scenario is the following.
    After application log in.
There is a send system message button that calls a store proc named [send system message]. This stored proc calls the exec msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail
I would believe that me logging in and be the sql user that I would need execute permission to send the e-mail. So I added my login to msdb and to the DatabaseMailUserRole

    Also Use msdb
Grant EXEC on sp_send_dbmail to user

Still getting execute permission. Not sure what I'm missing here

Wondering if the store proc Request Sent Message needs execute permissons on the exec msdb.dbo.sp_send_dbmail

execute permission denied on object 'sp_send_dbmail', database 'msdb', schema 'dbo'

You may need to add the user to the DatabaseMailUserRole role in msdb. Not terribly sure, as I am still only using dbmail for admin purposes (alerts, and the like).
