Unanswered: Sending a report email BUT how on a specific record

    Hi guys,

I can open a form or a report to a specific record. However When i do a send object, where do i put the filter for the report?

Instead of emailing the whole database on a report i need to single one record out and send it as an attachment.

    Im all ears.

    Thanks

    aboo

You have to filter in the report itself, either in its source query or something like this:

Emailing a different report to each recipient

I believe you can also open the report filtered with the wherecondition argument of OpenReport, then use SendObject on it.

    Thanks Pbaldy

    Code:
I believe you can also open the report filtered with the wherecondition argument of OpenReport, then use SendObject on it.
    How would I do that?

    DoCmd.OpenReport...
    DoCmd.SendObject...

I assume you already know how to use the wherecondition from this:

"I can open a form or a report to a specific record"

I had this issue - what I did was create a copy of the report - and a set the datasource of the report to query that has criteria set to link it to a record id - then the regular send object will send thereport to only that record..
