    Unanswered: Strange Tables

    Hi Experts,

I have found some strange tables in my database

    EXPLAIN_ARGUMENT
    EXPLAIN_DIAGNOSTIC
    EXPLAIN_DIAGNOSTIC_DATA
    EXPLAIN_INSTANCE
    EXPLAIN_OBJECT
    EXPLAIN_OPERATOR
    ADVISE_INDEX
    ADVISE_INSTANCE
    ADVISE_MQT
    ADVISE_PARTITION
    ADVISE_TABLE
    ADVISE_WORKLOAD

Hope these are system tables. But its only in one DB other Db doesnot have this tables ..Why?

What are the use of these tables and are they system tables?

    TIA

They are automatically crated the first time you use the Visual Explain in the Control Center. You can also create them with the DDL in $HOME/sqllib/misc/EXPLAIN.DDL

The tables are used for the Explain and Index Advisor features.
