Unanswered: changing e-mail alias via update queries

    hi there,

let's say in a table field i have john.smith@abc.com and would like to change all people with abc.com alias to abc-def.com alias, would this be possible?

so after running the query it would end up john.smith@abc-def.com

    thanks!

If you're doing it via VBA then take a look at the Replace Function. Else, an Update query should do the trick, using "@abc.com" as the WHERE criteria and careful use of the LEN and LEFT functions.

You could do this with search and replace too. CTRL-H I think it is.
