    Unanswered: changing e-mail alias via update queries

    hi there,

    let's say in a table field i have and would like to change all people with alias to alias, would this be possible?

    so after running the query it would end up

    If you're doing it via VBA then take a look at the Replace Function. Else, an Update query should do the trick, using "" as the WHERE criteria and careful use of the LEN and LEFT functions.

    You could do this with search and replace too. CTRL-H I think it is.
